"Ziryab's Lounge" is a community-based, monthly event featuring all levels of performers and aficionados of global music and dance, primarily focused on arts from the Iberian Peninsula and eastwards, with occasional forays into Latin America and anywhere else we want to explore.
On May 15, in addition to flamenco by Olivia Chacon, Flamencura dancers, and music by Isai Chacon, we'll be exploring music and dance of the Middle East. We'll feature bellydance by Jamie Lynn Shelton and Allyssa Altahib, and music by Joshua Thomson and Josh Peters of Atlas Maior, as well as Kurdish folk dancing!
Bring your own beverage and snacks. Doors open at 7pm, music and dance start at 7:30pm. Suggested $10 donation at the door.
